How time flies.. This is already week 13, which is the LAST week of this semester. What does it mean? It means that those assignments are now due SOON. The due date is already knocking on your door. No, not knocking. It's BANGING on your door. And students go mad. Including me, and my friends, that suddenly become creative in making impressive quotes:
Maria: "Do you know what? I haven't finished my essays, so now I'm not quite a nice person to be near to" *)
Chris: "I have written the word "ecology" FIFTY times. That's enough. I do not want to hear and write about it. Again." *)
Matea: "Since it's due today, last night I have papers and books scattered in my room that I can hardly see the floor" *)
Verity: "where's the technology "download: brain to computer" when you need it?" **)
Chris: "i'm getting nowhere, fast" + "type. word count. type. word count. etc etc." **)
Maria: "come on word count...just get higher baby." **)
Ruth: "I can't even pronounce the word "epistemologically", but I really like the word that I write it in my essay for five times. I look smart when I write the word in my essay" *)
Utami: "if anyone ever mention the term "paradigm shift" in front of me, probably I would just unconsciously and automatically slap the person" *)
Utami: "How are you going?"
Jamie: "well, I'm alive"
Utami: "okay, that sort of explains everything"
Maria: "hey, you're doing a research project, aren't you?"
Utami: "Yes. And DO NOT ask me how is it going"
Maria: "NO! I won't ask you. Don't ask ME how am I going with my essays"
Sasha: "you know its week 12 when you check your fb every half hour (ok so its more like every 10 mins) as part of your much deserved "break"!" **)
Cate: "Well, I've done the Reading Diary. But when I went through it again, it seems that I'm not writing in english. I mean, it's English. English words. But it's not in english. Do you know what I mean?" *)
Utami: "Utami has kicked two of the assignments out of her life! Hell yeah!" **)
PS: Some quotes are picked from our conversation *), while some others are taken from my friend's status in Facebook **)
PS2: apparently, this creativity of making quotes magically just disappear when we try to write our essays
